This time last year, Leighton Meester had an incredible experience, a story that has since been buried by her “Gossip Girl” success. On January 18, 2011, Leighton was at a concert featuring the legendary pop megastar Prince. As he performed for a a sold-out crowd in Madison Square Garden in New York City, Leighton Meester sat starry eyed in the very first row as she watched one of her childhood idols transfix the audience. Suddenly, in the middle of the show, Prince serenaded Leighton Meester after pulling her onstage! Leighton was surprised to say the least, and could not contain her joy as Prince went on to sing “I Love You But I Don’t Trust You Anymore.” As he sang, Leighton could not contain her joy and giggled and smiled the whole time. Afterwards, one concert-goer attested that, “Leighton looked like she was going to spontaneously combust.” A few weeks later, Leighton was on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and appeared to be still reeling from the experience. She said, “I don’t feel like I can go again after I got serenaded” at her very first Prince concert. She went on, “I couldn’t even hold my cup afterward. I was breathing heavily…I was wearing rain boots. I was not ready at all! Everyone should come prepared.” As soon as the Prince 2012 tour is announced, we think she should go and enjoy another fantastic concert!

‘Gossip Girl’ Leighton Meester ‘wants more Dan, Blair’

Leighton Meester has said that she would love more scenes between Dan and Blair on Gossip Girl.

The duo have grown closer in recent months and Meester has now admitted that she would like to explore the relationship further.

“The one relationship I’d love to see play out is Blair and Dan,” she told TV Line. “Just selfishly, honestly, because I love working with Penn [Badgley]. So we’ll see!”

Meester also dropped some hints about the upcoming 100th episode of the show, which will focus on Blair’s wedding.

“[Blair's] engaged to a prince, so what could be better than that?” she said. “But then you realise that the fairytale isn’t 100% perfect.”

Meanwhile, Badgley hinted that Dan will be involved in the wedding, saying: “Dan has a role to play that is not conventional… There will be a lot of gasping [from viewers when it's revealed].”

Badgley has previously admitted that he too enjoys exploring the relationship between Dan and Blair.

Gossip Girl airs on Mondays at 8/7c on The CW in the US and on Wednesdays at 8pm on ITV2 in the UK.
